Our story begins over 32 years ago with the start-up of Glencar, a unique family run business, which is now in its second generation. Our forward looking team is led by myself,
Jason McCann. Having grown up alongside the family business, my background in Business, Engineering and IT, coupled with a passion for design, drew me back 15 years ago. Glencar has given me the opportunity to invest my skills in a worthwhile and meaningful business.
In 1988, my mother, Eileen McCann had a simple and passionate belief. She realised that families and service providers deserved to have access to the very best therapeutic products which enhance lives. This ethos continues to be at the heart of our daily endeavours.
It is a privilege to see inspirational moments which are made possible through the dedication of our team. Witnessing a young child being able to sit at the family table for the first time, seeing first steps taken with the aid of a gait trainer or a child riding a bike unassisted drives what we do. However, without the special relationships we build with Therapists, Parents, Teachers and Children we would not be part of these significant occasions.
The Glencar story began with the belief that parents and service providers deserved the very best therapy equipment available. That belief continues today and keeps us focused on searching for new specialised products to support independent living for all. Our mission will always be to ‘change people’s lives’.
